7. PERSONALISE your email, I can't emphasise this one enough - I don't know about you but I hit the delete button as soon as I see I have been targeted with a mass email ??
8. Use tangible stuff → "We helped increase sales by 11.5% in Q1"
9. Use the "LinkedIn-format" i.e. write like a 10-year old = LOTS of spacing. This is to improve readability.
A great example of the LinkedIn-format that can also be applied to emails ??

10. Avoid buzzwords, industry jargons, adverbs, long sentences etc.
11. Write the way you speak.
12. Get to the point and avoid all caps or exclamation points.
13. Connect with people on LinkedIn, engage with their content
14. Experiment - try new ways of reaching out, short-form videos, send a handwritten letter, do stuff that others don't.
15. Don't share a link or ask them to download something - I delete the second I see stuff like that.
16. Don't refer to someone both of us don't know." I saw you liked Steven Bartletts post" ehh..soo..?!! ?? I get these at least 5 times per day. Total rubbish.
17. Instead of sending a cold email, try asking all of your customers for a referral.
18. Speed is THE most important thing in a startup. When people reply to your email, reply immediately ??♂?
19. This year companies have increased their outbound efforts with several hundred percent, and there's some really poor examples out there. So be relevant and get to the point FAST. There's nothing worse when people email with "Hi" and nothing else ?? Come on, who has time for this?! No one.
20. Ask ChatGPT for help to better understand the buyer persona, then add your own touch to it. ??
It's hard to stand out and break through the noise out there, but you can do this.
Some of the tips above are backed by data from Lavender and Flowd.
