20 Captivating Social Media Content Ideas for Coaches

The fact that you can use social media to grow your coaching business isn’t a secret. I know it. You know it. We all know it. The question isn’t whether you should be posting on your social platforms...it’s what the heck should you post?! Coming up with continual content ideas for your social media accounts can be daunting.

And if you’re anything like the heart-centered coaches I work with, you want your content to be authentic and meaningful for your people.?

You’re not interested in posting just for the sake of posting, and you definitely don’t want to come across as too fluffy or too sales-y. But you do want to post content that stops the scroll and, ultimately, SELLS because you are running a business after all.

I get it, and I’ve got you covered.

This week’s blog is all about 20 Captivating Social Media Content Ideas for Coaches.

#1 Tell your story.

Start at the beginning and tell the story of how your business came to be. You can also focus on your brand story if your personal story of starting your business isn’t as impactful or relevant to your audience.?

#2 Go behind the scenes of your business.

Allow your followers to see what it’s really like to run your business. You could do a day-in-the-life post or give people a glimpse into your favorite business tools or the type of music you love to play in the background while you work.?

It doesn’t have to be extensive, but this kind of post really increases your “know factor” when it comes to building a relationship with potential clients.

?#3 Share a client story of transformation.

There is no greater proof that you know what you’re doing than success stories from your clients. What was your client’s life or business like before you? How has it changed since you entered the picture? What specific successes have they had?

Shining the spotlight on your clients also allows you to toot your own horn without the pressure of all eyes on you (which I know many heart-centered entrepreneurs and coaches can struggle with). Another benefit? These story-based content ideas dig deep into authentic connection.?

?#4 Highlight your recommendations.

Are there business books you swear by? Podcasts that inspire you? Products (digital or physical) that have been game-changers for you?

Share those things, and also don’t be afraid to tag other people and businesses in your post! You may just end up with a reshare and even more eyes on your post.

?#5 Reveal what makes you unique.

Why should your potential clients want to work with you instead of the dozens (or hundreds) of other coaches popping up in their social media feed? Let them know what makes you uniquely suited to help them. Share your credentials, your life experience, your specific point of view, your secret sauce...whatever makes you the BEST fit for your people!

?#6 Share who is NOT a good fit for you.

In addition to highlighting your strengths and why you’re the best fit for some, it’s also okay to talk about who isn’t right for what you have to offer. You aren’t meant to work with everyone, and by sharing who you don’t work with, you are also further solidifying who your ideal clients really are.

?#7 Promote your lead magnets or your offers.

I know self-promotion can be uncomfortable, but remember that you are ultimately solving problems for your audience and it would be unfair not to share the solutions you have with them.?

Also, the people following you are watching you for a reason. They want what you’ve got! But you have to share your resources and offers for them to know how to get in on it.

?#8 Answer a question you’re often asked.

If you’re struggling for new content ideas, look to the questions clients are constantly asking you. There’s a strong chance that your potential clients have those same questions as well. So take a chance to flex a bit and show how you can provide an answer to these common problems.

?#9 Share a quick tip that’s simple to implement.

You have a lot of knowledge about what you do! Be sure to share it through tips and tricks that will give your audience easy wins in their businesses or lives. These quick tips and wins will also keep them coming back for more!

?#10 Talk about industry news or a current event.

Give your #hottake on what’s happening in the coaching world or the world in general. People appreciate hearing experts’ opinions, and this type of post can be great for engagement. Just make sure this doesn’t turn into a soapbox that isn’t relevant to your audience.?
