2 Years of Critically Acclaimed TV Content
Assembly officially turns 2 this month, and we’re taking this opportunity to reflect on some of the most exciting moments of our creative journey since opening our doors in 2021.
Today we’re taking a look back at 2 years of binge-worthy TV series, from critically acclaimed HBO, Apple TV+, and Hulu dramas, to Netflix Comedy Specials.?
POP-CULTURE FAVORITES:??
Those looking for their Sunday Night HBO fix will have no doubt been watching The Last of Us, the Pedro Pascal helmed drama based on the video game classic, which took the world by storm this January and kept us on the edge of our seats until its very final episode.?
Our latest collaboration with Peacock taps into the phrase on everyone’s lips in 2023: Artificial Intelligence. A Catholic Nun takes on AI in Mrs Davis, a quirky whirlwind of a comedy that never fails to entertain.?
Continuing our foray into the comedically weird and wonderful, we’ve been working with the team at Hulu on their critically acclaimed documentary-style comedy, What We Do in the Shadows, which follows the daily lives of Staten Island’s Vampire residents…?
CAN’T- MISS DOCUMENTARIES:
True crime fans and those keeping up with this year’s top stories will be familiar with Netflix ’s deep dive into The Murdaugh Murders: A Southern Scandal, graded by Senior Colorist Sean Dunckley .?

Sean Dunckley also worked with the team at MGM on their chilling new docuseries Amityville: An Origin Story, which reveals the secrets of America’s most infamous haunted house.?
We’re also thrilled to have worked on the Emmy award winning show, Turning the Tables with Robin Roberts. Colorist, Maria Carretero graded both Season 1 and the new Season 2. Produced by Lebron James' production company The SpringHill Company , Turning the Tables features the Good Morning America news anchor hosting intimate roundtable discussions with the world’s top celebrities.?
KINGS & QUEENS OF COMEDY:
We’re no strangers to comedy over here at Assembly, having graded HBO, Netflix and Amazon specials for some of the world’s biggest comedians, including Hasan Minaj, Yvonne Orji, and Joe Koy in 2023 alone!? One of our favorite comedy collaborations has to be on Showtime’s Ziwe, a variety show like no other. Crazy, colorful, and culturally on the mark, Ziwe is a no-holds-barred mix of musical numbers, interviews, guest stars and sketches.?
COMING SOON TO A STREAMING PLATFORM NEAR YOU:
Stay tuned for our latest release, The Crowded Room, an intense crime thriller featuring Tom Holland, playing a suspect in a 1970s New York Rockefeller shooting case. The Crowded Room is already dubbed one to watch, so don’t miss its debut episode dropping on June 9th on Apple TV+ .?
