In a celebration of incredible events and sorrows, I feel compelled to first share a more personal post about the remarkable man I had the good fortune to walk beside on this journey of life.

?Today marks 2 years since my husband Robert Nastas passed away after a short battle with cancer.

I would not be where I am today professionally or personally without him. I don't just mean that he gave me moral support over the years, he was my partner in every sense of the word. We were a team. he inspired me, he motivated me, he pushed me, sometimes in ways I didn't understand at the time or in moments when I didn't want to be pushed. he made me grow into a better version of myself over the past 35 years. It wasn't always easy, and things weren't always perfect. he was strong, confident, funny in his own way, and wicked smart in a way that doesn't come from books.

?I am eternally grateful for the 35 years we shared. They went by all too quickly. The void he leaves in the hearts of the many people who loved him dearly is vast, and the immensity of the loneliness without him has yet to fully sink in. He is now a part of me, embedded in my character, my choices, my hopes and ambitions, and I will continue to look to his life and indelible spirit for inspiration and guidance.
