I hope you've had a fabulous Easter and Bank Holiday weekend, we certainly did. We've been out and about with friends and also had family over for an Easter dinner mixed in with a little work but to be honest, I'm was glad to get back to work for the rest ??

So let's crack on with Snippet #2 and see what's happening in the world of social media.

Facebook is testing generative AI prompts. This will allow users to create post captions through generative AI prompts. Perfect if you ever experience creative blocks. Have you got this yet?
Instagram If your brand is using Instagram ads, you can now add a promo code?to your content to entice purchase activity.
I'm not even sure I'm supposed to talk about this one as I understand it's still in beta testing but someone has leaked it so I'm passing it on ??
?? LinkedIn is testing its own TikTok-like video feed - yes really it is! ??
How will it work?
There will be a video tab in the navigation bar. Tapping on the Video tab will take users to a TikTok-like feed of videos. There are buttons to like, comment and share a video. Users can click ‘See More’ to view the full caption.
It’s currently being tested with a small number of LinkedIn users so you may not see the new video tab as yet but then again you might!

TikTok has added a variety of ?influencer audio clips?to its Sounds for Business Library for advertisers to use.
And to help you with your social media, here are a few simple tips...
Consistent Branding Is A Must
Maintain a consistent visual identity across all your social media platforms. Use the same colour scheme, fonts and logo placement to ensure your brand is easily recognised by your audience.
Storytelling
Depending upon your business and your own personality this isn't always an easy one to do but it's very effective if you can. Share compelling stories about your brand, products or customers.
Why?
Because it humanises you and your brand. People get emotionally attached through the stories you tell and this helps create loyalty and trust ultimately more clients/customers.
Respond Promptly
This is a hughly overlooked tactic on social. So many businesses simply post and move on, they forget to check back and monitor their posts for subsequent comments, messages and @mentions.
Let's put a bit of context around that...
I always say it's like walking into a networking event, speaking to some of the people there (i.e. the post you've posted) then turning around and walking away just as they start to speak back to you (i.e. that's you not responding to the comment on your post they've taken the time and made the effort to write) ??.
How rude would you think someone was if they did that to you in person, so why do it to them online?
PLUS, your reply(s) count as engagement with the algorithm so don't miss this vital step it shows your audience that you value their input and are attentive to their needs and at the sametime it shows the algorithm that people are interested enough in your post to take the time to comment.
That in itself triggers the algorithm to show your post out to more people. It's a win, win scenario so make sure you reply to each and every comment you receive. And whilst your at it, don't just reply, hit the 'Like' button too then you're post will have received an additional two interactions.
Go back and check your posts, see how many comments you've received and not replied to, you'll be surprised ??
