2 Weird Things Your Email Copy Is Missing
Clients come to me every day with hopes to double their email conversion rates and get their ideal customers to click their links.
They send all kinds of emails with overly drawn-out pitches to buy their products (that most people will skip) or stupid templates that do not appeal to their customers.
And when they inevitably get no results, they all come to the conclusion that: EMAIL MARKETING IS DEAD!!
What most of them do not understand is that Email Marketing is truly a craft that takes mastering.
You don’t slap together a few paragraphs about how great your product is and tell people to buy.
No.
That’s the old way of email marketing.
The only way to make a killing with your email marketing is to include the tips I give you here today. Without them, then you might as well delete your entire subscriber list.
Let’s get into it!
Creativity through stories converts 100x better!
The days of huddling around a crackling fire during winter with your family, enjoying a hot cup of cocoa while watching some of your favorite Christmas movies.
Those are the times we remember. We look forward to watching movies and creating time with your loved ones.
Now imagine you send an email to your list of 100,000 hungry customers. What do you think will happen if you fill them up with the same joyous spirit a good story would?
You will relate those positive feelings back to your business and increase your chance 100x of them buying your product.
Kids love stories. Adults love stories. Everyone loves a good story.
Give your customers what they want and see the conversions roll in!

Curiosity hooks them, CTA’s close them.
This is a bit of a double whammy here. (consider it a bonus)
Your ideal customers will NOT read your copy if it’s boring. As I always tell my clients: Boring is the #1 sin in marketing!!
You MUST make them curious enough to continue reading. Curiosity in your product, service, business, your story (Yes, there goes story again!), or whatever sparks interest in them.
If you send boring emails then your customers will eventually click on your emails less, and less, until the point, your open rates are below 5%.
And at that point, you have to be honest with yourself: your customers just aren’t interested in what you’re selling.
More accurate: in HOW you’re selling it.
Now as for CTA (Call to action!)
You’ll be surprised how many people are scared to put a call to action in their emails.
If you have a good product/service, then TRUST ME: your clients WANT you to sell them on your business.
Without CTA’s, then you will get NO BUYERS.
Crazy concept, right?
Be willing to ask for the sale from your customers so you give them a chance to buy.
Otherwise, you’re wasting your own time and more importantly your customer’s time.
Give the people what they want
I hope that helps!
