2 Weeks NY to Mexico

While we had two weeks off from the normal grind of the NASCAR schedule my wife and I took to two different courses of how we spent it. Not often we do this but we both wanted to accomplish something during these two weeks, and this was the best way for us to accomplish that.

I traveled to upstate New York to visit with my family in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains. I don't get to spend much time with my grandson, so I wanted to take advantage of the down time to do just that. In addition to some quality time with him, I was able to spend time with my brother and my son. We took in some golf and fishing two of my favorite things to do with my son. While he is a two-time TBF junior angler champion, I like to take advantage of his knowledge of Lake Champlain and get out on the lake and hook the bass and we definitely got into them. My big one was about a 3 lb. small mouth bass, and he hooked a 5 lb. largemouth bass. This worked great because he had a tournament the following weekend, so we did some pre-fishing for that.

My wife chose a cruise during the off week. Well, we planned it in advance, and it was a gift to our daughter for her graduation to let her experience cruising how we do it when we don't have them with us.
