These 2 things will impact on sales performance

?How you market something can make a difference to your sales so it is vital you get it right.
Two things affect your sales, one is marketing and the other is customer service. I can hear some of you yelling “price” but this is not so in the vast majority of cases. People are prepared to pay more when quality is perceived. Price is affected by better service, added value, design, colour, personal feature preference or option, location, etc. All these things affect the margin. Good service enhances a product and gives it a premium status. Marketing can also do this. When I ran an interior design business I called it creating the dream and delivering a WOW factor to a scheme. Marketing should answer the question “Why select me/us?” If you have USPs tell the world about them.
What you offer will never appeal to everyone so it is important to identify your markets, tailor your message to your targeted clients and then find the best platforms to use to deliver your message.
Marketing and PR help you to engage with existing customers as well as attract new ones. It is an important part of the lead generation process, it should support existing clients and is the vehicle for new announcements such as a new product launch, etc. Shout about your successes, case studies, recommendations, endorsements, awards, etc.
Brand awareness is important as a recognised name can instil confidence when against an unknown brand or company.
So if you are looking to grow your business don’t just think about getting more sales via more sales reps on the road, think about how you could market your business to get more inbound enquiries.
