2020 Thank You

2020 has been a very challenging year for all of us. The Covid-19 pandemic has forced us to look at normal daily life in new ways and with new perspectives. We’ve had to learn to work and study remotely from home, buy groceries and shop wearing masks, refrain from hugging our family and friends, look at creative ways to continue doing business and unfortunately, many seniors have had to live in isolation. Yes, there has also been many positive aspects in the process of learning to adapt. Core families are spending more time together, entrepreneurs are finding creative approaches to share their ideas and initiatives, and we’re all reminded just how dependent we are on each other.

Something that has helped me greatly to navigate these challenges, are photowalks. I’ve focused my camera at the everyday, at nature and architecture, at weather and occasionally at the overlooked. I’ve sometimes aimed my camera upwards to the sky, sometimes down at the pavement and always doing my best to capture the beautiful side of things. The photowalks have helped my heart, my mind and my eyes remain positively open. They have also helped me keep an optimistic outlook forward, which has been critical.

As we close the chapter on 2020 and look forward to the upcoming challenges of 2021, I wanted to share some of the personal images I shot this year. That said, I’ve created an online gallery with some of my favourite photowalk photographs from 2020. All the images are free to download and use for any personal purposes.
