#2 Sales Sunday: Turn clients into a repeat buyers

Welcome to the?second issue of Sales Sunday. I know today is Monday... but it might still be Sunday somewhere right ??

I'll get straight to it. Today, I will be sharing with you how to?turn clients into repeat buyers.?

______________________________

There’s a hidden revenue stream in your business that you’re not even aware of!

While it’s important to constantly grow your audience and find new leads, there’s one way to increase your sales that you’re probably not thinking about.?

Your past and current clients!

I’ve seen it happen all too often: entrepreneurs get so focused on finding new leads and new clients.?

And it’s easy to forget that their clients, the ones who’ve gotten results and are raving fans, can turn into repeat customers!

That means you don’t need fancy ads or exhausting launches to increase the revenue in your business!

I’m going to show you how to extend the experience with your current clients or invite your past clients to work with you again so they can get even better results (which means amazing testimonials and referrals for you!).?

What makes me so excited about this is that with just a few strategic steps, increasing your revenue is going to become so much easier (and who wouldn’t want that?!).?

The Client R.U.R Method

The R.U.R stands for Renew, Upsell, and Retain.?

Once the client has said “yes” to working with you, there are two things you want to be mindful of: helping them get their desired results and making sure they see that this is just one part of the journey with you.?

Once you’re already working with the client, they are well on their way to achieving some fantastic results in their business, career, health, or relationships.?

And you know there’s so much more you can do to support them on their journey!?

Whether you’re working with 1:1 clients or in a group, here are 4 ways to boost customer retention.

So, let's get started.

  1. Give them a quick win?
  2. Underpromise and overdeliver
  3. Give them unexpected attention
  4. Schedule a ‘what's next’ call

1. Give them a quick win?

You can do this by hosting a live onboarding call and doing a quick start exercise to get them some quick results.?

For example, if you're a weight loss coach, you might give them a quick win of 3 things they can do right now to lose 4 pounds. Or, if you’re a business consultant, you can help outline how they can add 5k into their business in 5 days by following up with prospects.?

2. Underpromise and overdeliver

What I mean here is that you overdeliver in the?experience.?Provide timely feedback when clients ask questions, provide excellent coaching or consulting, be enthusiastic when you are on live calls… It's these types of qualities that will delight your clients and make them want to keep working with you.?

3. Give them unexpected attention

There’s nothing better than feeling like you’re noticed and recognized. Unexpected attention can look like hot seating a client during a group call, spotlighting a client’s success on your social media, sending clients a small unexpected card or gift in the mail, sending them a personal email sharing how happy you are with their results.

4. Schedule a ‘what's next’ call?

You want to help them see what the next step is–what they have to continue working on. They won’t necessarily be able to figure this out on their own. Show them the new opportunities and problems.?

For example, if you’re a career coach who helps professional women land their dream role, the next step might look like supporting them in excelling in that new role. Or if you’re a social media consultant who helps people optimize their LinkedIn profiles, the next step might be showing them how to create content that converts to sales calls.?

So there you have it — 4 ways to make the renewing of clients so much easier.?

Think about your current or past clients who you want to continue working with so they can get even better results (which means amazing testimonials and referrals for you!).?

And imagine where your business will be if you converted 40% of your clients into repeat buyers??
