The 2 Practical Principles of Conducting Wars

Despite my skepticism of the Biden Administration, don't ever confuse a Prussian with a Russian. Theoretically nobody else but Polish would wish for the partition of Russia more than a Prussian does. Realistically unless we also partition Poland to restore East & West Prussia, Schlesien, Posen, Pomerania and the East Brandenburg it is infeasible to wish so. Only those lack of creativity would wish for revenge. From a von Bismarck kind of?#practical?view, the question for the US, is not a moral matter but whether it's worth overthrowing Putin for someone else that might be better or worse.
Wars are fundamentally an economic phenomenon just like rainy vs. sunny days. There will always be rainy days. There are only 2 realistic?#principles?in regards to wars, whether it's the US, Russia, Ukraine or anyone else:
1. Do we have no other option but a war? Only fight a war if we have no other choices.
2. Can we win the war? Only fight a war if we can win.
Remember that trying to stop a war by telling a war criminal that he's immoral and evil is ineffective and almost would never work. It's the same as educating thugs to stop beating people up (i.e.?#StopAsianHate). It never works. Only more people would get beaten up. The only way to stop crimes and wars is to think from the angle of the criminals and war participants, and convince them from their perspectives. Condemnation cannot stop fights but only intensify fights. Making deals and compromises from all sides, is the only way to stop a war peacefully.

Do we have options other than fighting Russia? Yes, our homeland is not threatened. Is a democratic but destabilized Russia better for the US?#interests? No. One autocrat Putin is better than many democratic Anti-American "Putins".
Can we win if we fight Russia? Militarily, yes. Economically, no. The global conflicts are far more complicated. Is our?#NationalDebt?too low? We are not in 1982. The public perception is far outdated. Don't be like?#Ming?in the 1590s.
Don't fight wars we don't have to fight and wars we cannot win. Keep in mind that Biden's so called "friends & allies" are unreliable #FriendsForBenefits?only. For instance, don't be naive and think that Poland is there to defend humanity. The western Ukraine was Polish and Catholic. Through the past 1,000 years the Polish ambition of ruling the Slavs & East Europe has never been innocent, including antisemitism, and got themselves beaten up every time.
By the same analysis, unlikely Communist China would invade Taiwan, as they don't have to, and they cannot win (economically or militarily).
Why is "tech" hawkish now? More?#QE, but shortsighted.
My last words in regards to the US at the global stage for a while: The American economic might, including the military might and the moral high-ground, is fundamentally built on the word?#abundance, not effectiveness, efficiency, democracy, moral or quality. When we don't have a clear advantage in abundance, now or in the future, is when we should really concern.
