You have come to Bangkok to explore, but destiny made you develop a beautiful and special bond with a pretty Thai woman. You married her in an auspicious ceremony according to Thai customs. Now, you are worried about how to get a Thai marriage visa.
Many foreigners coming to Thailand get confused about the steps to take for registering a marriage visa.
Let's discover the two most common mistakes made by foreigners in the Thai marriage legal customs:
#Mistake 1
Missing out on office visits due to scheduling conflicts.
Firstly, your Thai non-immigrant visa for 90 days is to be converted to a 1-year marriage visa. Therefore, it is mandatory to visit the Thai District Immigration office (Amphur) for immediate registration.
*If your hearing is ignored under Thai Immigration Burau, the 90-day deadline can jeopardize your stay in Thailand. *
#Mistake 2
Failure to collect all necessary evidence
The foreigners married under the Thailand Marriage Visa fail to collect all necessary evidence. It's due to the lack of awareness of expats regarding the evidence list on arriving in Thailand.
Please note that these are the documents you'll need to produce to the Thai Marriage Bureau:
a. Income statement of a minimum of 40,000 baht for the past 3 months.
b. Income Tax documents
b. PNDI form
c. Pension documents
d. Proof of savings account and joint account
e. Work permit (if any)

3 个月I'm interested in a spouse visa as I'm already married and have been for 26 years. Money in the bank isn't a problem but I don't work much, only my Thai wife does. Total income is of course a lot higher than B40,000 over three months. Is the income combined or just for me?
