You have everything in your arsenal: a creative mind and a business idea. But the thought of pitching an idea to your target audience still gives you the jitters. Pitching your program is not everyone’s cup of tea, but honing this skill will definitely be a good addition to your arsenal.
Creating your Message
It is extremely important to create a message that entices your perfect clients. In this age of digitalization, the art of a 2-minute sales pitch will put you light years ahead of those not proficient at this practice.
Where to Post
There is a wide array of platforms for posting but I suggest you post on only one platform consistently while taking into consideration your competition. Consistency, innovation, and engagement are still the keys to opening the floodgates of unlimited prospects.
Practical Steps for Putting your 2-Minute Talk Together
- Identify your audience. Know your target market and their interests. This will help them identify with your message. Use the words and phrases these people identify with so that they would say to themselves, "She/ he gets me."
- Know your clients' challenges. Work at delving deeper into your client's thought processes. Listen to their needs. Gather as much information as you can especially on their personality traits, interests, values, and fears. People don’t care how much you know unless they know how much you care.
- State the benefits you provide. Be sincere. Tell them what makes you stand out from the crowd and what makes you the best part of the solution. Sincerely addressing your ideal prospect’s problems will set you apart from your competitors.
- Tell them the reason why they should work with you. Promote your credibility and at the same time be sincere and intentional. Use your credentials and back them up with an engaging story. This will create a vision in your prospect’s mind identifying you as the perfect solution to their current dilemma.
- Add your Call to Action. Your call to action tells those interested in your solution what to do next. If you don't include your call to action, you'll lose people, and your message will be moot.
Following these simple, but very important steps when creating your 2-minute Sales Pitch will make a world of difference to your income.
