2 LinkedIn Tips for Freelancers to get Inbound Leads

One thing that every freelancer wants is to have people reaching out to them in their DMs, inquiring about their services and asking to work with them.

That is not always the case.

There're 2 ways to get clients online. Either you reach out to someone (outbound), or they reach out to you (inbound). And even when you get referrals, I do consider that as inbound lead generation.

As a beginner, it means you will most likely do more outbound outreach to consistently get clients. That is expected and understandable.

But in order for you to start generating inbound leads on LinkedIn as a freelancer, there are 2 most important things you need to do.

So let's talk about it in this week's newsletter.

It is one thing to get inbound leads on LinkedIn, however it is a whole other ball game to get high ticket inbound leads on LinkedIn. And focusing on mastering just these 2 tips that I'm going to share with you today is how I am able to consistently turn cold leads into clients.

#1: Update your profile

The first thing you want to do in order to get inbound leads on LinkedIn is to update your LinkedIn profile. Yes, it's that simple.

Use keywords your ideal clients are using to find you on your profile and address them.

Like I always say, your profile is not about you, it is about your ideal client. So when you are updating your profile, you need to use your ideal client as reference. Whether, it's your banner, your headline, your featured section, or your about section, your profile needs to always address the specific clients that you want to attract, because that alone is enough for someone to look at your profile and reach out to you in order to work with you.

Your profile determines that.

So it is very very important for you to update your profile in order to reflect the kind of clients that you want to attract and I talk more about how to effectively update your profile as a freelancer in this video right here.

#2: Create Value Added Content

The 2nd thing that will help you generate inbound leads on LinkedIn as a freelancer is to learn how to create content and write copy that specifically addresses your ideal clients and adds value to them.

So here's the simple LinkedIn funnel you need to be aware of;

When you create value-added content consistently that addresses the needs of your ideal clients, that builds curiosity. So what happens next when someone is curious on LinkedIn is, they go back to your profile to learn more about who you are, what you do, and who you help, which takes us back to the first point - update your profile.

Because if your profile is optimized effectively to specifically address this person, the next thing that they do is follow you, connect with you, download your lead magnet, or better still, reach out to you to learn more about your services and more about how you can help them.

So your content builds curiosity, which then it sends your ideal clients to your profile, and your profile pushes them to take action by reaching out to you. And once they go through your content, this is going to continuously build trust and continuously nurture those leads, and eventually they will reach out to you when they are ready to buy.

So it is very, very important that you learn how to create content and you consistently put out value added content on LinkedIn that builds curiosity, because that's the gateway to your LinkedIn funnel.

This is exactly how you are able to consistently generate inbound leads from LinkedIn, simply by updating your profile and consistently creating value added content. So if you want to learn more about how to actually create content that generates High ticket leads make sure you watch this video right here.
