2 LinkedIn Messages I Received Yesterday

Mom is taking care of dishes this time and the shower water is on.

Yesterday, I received a LinkedIn message at 12:06pm EST.
It reads:
"Hi Craig,
Where you been? No summaries is everything alright?
Keep in touch.
Regards,
Mubina."
This message was interesting because I have commented every day.
It's not the only message.
The second message was at 12:13pm EST.
It reads:
"Afternoon, Craig! Hope you're doing okay, I haven't seen your around my feed in a while. Just wanted to see if you were open to catching up this month. Have a great day!"
Both messages are from my 1st-degree connections.
Getting both messages shows concern for my well-being.
Here are three lessons:
Lesson #1: Your network will notice if you're not around.
The people who message you will check in to see if you are okay.
Keep your network in mind.
Lesson #2: Your community cares.
Sometimes we forget there is a person behind social media.
There are people who miss you and want the best for you.
The community is not the same without you.
Lesson #3: You're not alone.
The people who value you are the people who care about you.
Reach out to your connections.
Talk about how you feel right now.
All someone needs is an ear to hear.
Grateful for the messages and your concern.

2 年Love this! I have done that before when I don't see one of my favorites creators and I've also received some messages of people checking on me! Knowing that we are seen and valued is everything! ?? Was there something in the algorithm? I think something changed. ??

2 年I try to check in too when I don't see someone posting their content for a while, Craig. It strengthens our relationship with that person with this small gesture.

2 年It's great to know that our community cares, contrary to what we see about online bullying and all the negativity. A lot of people are kind and considerate. My favorite messages are the ones that say how something I shared helped them or inspired them or ones that give feedback or ask questions. I guess I like a lot of messages :) Thank you for this article Craig.
