Hello again!
First and foremost, I want to extend my sincerest apologies for the recent absence of these bi-weekly newsletters. Life’s unexpected twists and turns sometimes lead us down unforeseen paths, causing us to deviate from our intended course.
During this hiatus, I’ve reflected deeply on the purpose and impact of this newsletter, reaffirming my commitment to serving you on your journey of personal growth.
As we resume our regular schedule, I’m reminded of the importance of consistency in nurturing our community and providing you with the support and guidance you deserve. Your understanding and patience during this time mean the world to me, and I’m truly grateful for your unwavering support.
Now, let’s embark on this renewed journey together. This newsletter isn’t just about sharing insights and advice — it’s also about fostering connection, empowerment, and growth.
Whether you’re seeking inspiration, guidance, or simply a friendly reminder that you’re not alone on this journey, know that you’ll find it here. ??
Before we delve into the enriching content ahead, I’d like to share a personal story ...
Recently, I found myself at a crossroads, grappling with self-doubt and uncertainty. Despite the fear that threatened to paralyze me, I mustered the courage to speak my truth and call out the behavior despite imagined ramifications. In that moment, I discovered that true confidence isn’t about the absence of fear but rather the willingness to confront it head-on, knowing that our greatest growth often lies on the other side of our comfort zones.
Now, I’ve been coaching for quite a few years, and the biggest thing I’ve learned — both for myself and my clients — is that inner confidence is the key to it all.
2 KEYS TO BOOSTING YOUR INNER CONFIDENCE:
There are all kinds of strategies, ways of thinking, patterns of behavior, and practical tips for improving your life and feeling better about yourself, but they’re all redundant if the foundation isn’t there.
That foundation is the real you, the you that you know deep down. The trick is that it takes confidence to find and bring out who you are — here are 2 keys to cultivating inner confidence:
1. Get To Know Your Values
Personal values are a big passion of mine, and I often get carried away when I talk about them. I make no apology for that, though — they’re one of the most important things you can know about yourself and are vital in obtaining genuine confidence.
Your values are ten thousand feet down inside you, right at the very core of who you are. They’re the building blocks, foundations, and cornerstones of your identity.
A value is something in yourself, others, or the world that’s most important to you. It could include beliefs, progress, family, fun, nature, achievement, or freedom.
Why is it that some people and situations leave you feeling angry, frustrated, demotivated, or deflated?
It’s because one or more of your values are being denied, suppressed, or repressed — and we experience that as a negative experience because it’s denying a fundamental piece of who you are.
You know those times when you’ve felt really alive, amazing or buzzing? Those are the times when one or more of your values are being honored, and you can get more of that by living according to them.
Your values are yours, and no matter what happens, no one can ever take them away. You can have absolute confidence in them because they’re always there, just waiting for you to notice and use them.
When you know your values, you can start to make choices and align your life around them. It’s so simple, and it feels amazing because all that really means is that you’re allowing who you are to live in the real world?— the foundation of unwavering confidence!

2. Exercise the Muscle
Confidence is a muscle, and like any muscle, you need to exercise it so that it doesn’t shrink and waste away.
The problem is that unlike your biceps or abs, which tend to stay in the same place, your confidence muscle can be harder to find. How do you develop your biceps or firm up your abs? By doing exercises that are designed to work that muscle over a period of time until you see the results you were looking for.
It’s just the same with confidence. Let’s say that you’re the kind of person who doesn’t take many risks, the kind of person who goes through each day doing what needs to be done and doing it well but not really stretching yourself.
You might talk yourself out of doing something because it’s too scary or because you think to yourself ‘I’m not good enough,’ ‘that’s not who I am’ or ‘I don’t really want it anyway.’
That kind of person lives within what they know and what keeps them safe and comfortable. The fewer risks they take, the less confident they need to be, and so the less confident they become.
To work your confidence muscle, you need to be prepared to take risks — big or small. You need to be willing to stretch yourself in an unfamiliar direction, to try something new or something slightly different.
You need to open yourself up to the possibilities around you and push yourself to increase what you know, what you do, and who you are. The more open you are to risk, opportunity, and possibility, the more confident you need to be, and so the more confidence you’ll develop. That’s your confidence muscle — the question is ...
what are you going to do to exercise it?

UPDATE ON MOM:
Over the past few months, she has shown incredible strength and resilience as she navigates through this challenging chapter of her life.
Mom was initially diagnosed with ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) breast cancer that was found by accident. After undergoing a mastectomy, in which she needed additional emergency surgery the night after, micropapillary carcinoma was found. She has been diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer, a rare and aggressive type that is?harder to treat and more likely to come back.

After careful consideration and consultation with her medical team, it has been decided that she will be starting an aggressive schedule of chemotherapy this week that will last into the next year. While we understand the intensity of this treatment, we also hold onto hope and faith in her ability to endure and overcome.
Throughout this journey, the outpouring of love, support, and encouragement from friends and family like you have been a source of immense comfort and strength for my mom and our family. Your kind words, gestures, and prayers have lifted our spirits and reminded us that we are not alone in this fight.
As we prepare for this next phase of treatment, we remain optimistic and focused on the road ahead. While there may be challenges and uncertainties along the way, we draw strength from each other and the unwavering belief that brighter days lie ahead. Together, we will navigate through this storm and emerge stronger on the other side.
