2 Game-Changing Productivity Tools Made in 10 Minutes With Websim.ai

Like many creatives, I've often found myself trapped in a cycle of wanting to do it all. Consistently balancing the work that pays the bills with the work that fulfills me creatively has been a challenge throughout my career.

Last year, I decided it was time to take my art practice seriously and focus on creating a consistent body of work. I wanted to improve my craft and express myself creatively every day, without limits.

The intention was there, the drive was there, but the tools I needed didn't exist in the way that worked best for me.

I spent months trying to piece together systems using templates and manual processes in platforms like Notion, but it was time-consuming and frustrating.

Then, a few months ago, I discovered a revolutionary tool called Websim.ai. It was mind-blowing. You can code an entire functioning website with just a prompt. And not to be dramatic, but the possibilities that Websim presented felt life-changing.

With just one prompt and a few tweaks, I was finally able to build the systems I needed to turn my creative ambitions into a reality. Now, I’m creating consistently with ease. In this article I'll be sharing two tools I built using Websim.ai that have made this transformation possible.

Action Priority Matrix

An interactive action priority matrix with quadrants labeled by their level of effort and the level of impact.

When I first created this tool, I started with a simple prompt: “Create an action priority matrix.” Websim.ai immediately generated a fully functional website that categorized tasks into four quadrants based on their effort and impact.

Right off the bat, it automatically:

  • Labeled and color-coded each quadrant for easy reference.
  • Included a task entry box, where I could assign tasks to specific quadrants.
  • Allowed me to drag and drop tasks, so I could easily shift priorities as my workload changed.

With just a few additional tweaks, I made the matrix even more tailored to my needs:

  • Added an arrow to visually represent the level of effort vs. impact.
  • Enabled infinite scrolling within each quadrant, so I never run out of room for new tasks.
  • Included the option to delete tasks once they were complete.

How I Used It:

I recently launched my debut OpenAI Sora film, Bloomchild, which took up a huge chunk of my summer. There were so many moving pieces to this project: making and editing the film, writing a newsletter post about it, setting up an inbound system for people to contact me, and creating a behind-the-scenes video.

This tool became essential for keeping track of all the things I needed to get done. It allowed me to visualize my entire workload at a glance and adjust priorities quickly as new tasks emerged.

Practical Use Cases:

  1. Creative Director with back-to-back calendars prioritizing focused client work in between meetings.
  2. Full-Time Artist prioritizing and managing personal artwork with commissioned work.
  3. Hybrid of Both (like me!) balancing client work and independent art projects in the few hours available outside of work.

Creative Project Tracker

An interactive project tracker with real-time tracking

I created the Creative Project Tracker to help manage the finer details of large-scale projects. This tool goes beyond a simple to-do list; it allows you to break down every aspect of a project into manageable chunks while tracking progress in real-time. While an even more powerful version of this tool can include AI integration, I wanted to keep it simple as a start.

How I Used It:

When I was working on Bloomchild, the sheer amount of work (editing, creating promotional content, setting up an inbound system, and managing logistics) felt overwhelming. This tool allowed me to break everything down into digestible parts.

I was able to split the entire creative workflow into smaller, manageable tasks, and track the progress for each component. With the tracker, I could see what was done and what was left, helping me to meet my deadline without feeling like I was drowning in work.

Practical Use Cases:

This tool is perfect for anyone in creative fields, including:

  1. Creative + Art Directors who need to manage multiple project timelines and deliverables across a variety of clients.
  2. Full-Time Creators who are working on commissioned work while also trying to juggle their personal artwork.
  3. Hybrids (like me) who are balancing their personal artistic practice with commercial work.
  4. Content Creators who manage video, design, and post-production all under tight schedules, especially in the beginning of their careers.

Moving The Needle

As ambitious creators, we often want to do it all. The key to achieving more without burning out is to prioritize based on impact and effort. Tools like the Action Priority Matrix and Creative allow you to stay focused on what's truly going to push you forward towards achieving your goals.

As a full-time creative professional who also spends significant time outside of work developing my own art, I know that leveraging AI tools like these has become essential for doing what would have been impossible before. It helps me manage my time, stay organized, and make sure I'm spending energy on tasks that make the most impact.
