This 2-Dimensional Dinosaur Approach is Failing You! ??

I've had a PT; I've had dieticians; I've seen a nutritionist; I've done Ketogenic; I've Fasted; I've done the military diet; I've tried couch to 5k; I go to the gym 3-5 X per week; I eat healthily most of the time...

Let's pause there, or's we might be here for a while.

QUESTION: What do all of these have in common?

Got it..?

Yes, no.. maybe..? ??

They all focus on either one of two things:

Fitness, or Nutrition.

This my friend, is the 2-Dimensional dinosaur approach.

It's why so many painstakingly grind through the gears and constantly stall in this backseat area of their life.

It's like we're stuck in the 90's and 00's. Staying in good-nick is more than just Fitness & Nutrition.

Or should I say Fitness & Nutrition is more than just calories, press ups, and gym memberships.

Getting on top of this sh*t show you call your health & fitness requires a smarter approach.

If you remember, last release I said I'd answer the below:

"Why these 4 pillars?"

And the 4 pillars I was referring to are:

  • WEIGHT LOSS
  • MENTAL STRENGTH?[aka, 'mindset']
  • GROWTH,?and;
  • FITNESS & NUTRITION

So to answer the question, just ask yourself this;

"How many times have I tried an approach that only focuses on the dimensions of fitness or nutrition..?"

The fact you've had to even try more the once should tell you all you need to know.

YES - they are important aspects. But...

..without the deep inner self-belief, desire, motivation, self-discipline, self-respect, positive habitual behaviours, self-awareness, emotional awareness, ownership, personal accountability, and a real deep understanding of your roots...

..your gears will just keep on screeching. Because you probably never focused on building most - or all - of these ways of being in your personal life.

This is why the success of my 4-Dimensional approach covering all aspects required for change has an abnormally high success rate in the infantile industry of health, wellbeing and weight loss.

So here's a quick summary of each pillar and how they all compliment each other:

WEIGHT LOSS;

..because when you look better, you feel better from an internal vanity perspective, functional / performance perspective, self-confidence perspective, and the perspective of setting a good example to those around - children, partners, employees, business associates, clients and so on. Plus you've less chance of kicking to can earlier than you'd like.

But this pillar cannot stand strong without...

MENTAL STRENGTH [mindset];

..because without the internal strength to overcome stress inducing challenges, you falter and relapse into old – sometimes self-destructive – patterns. Mental strength is a culmination of resilience, discipline, fortitude, real ownership, and adaptability so that we can prioritise ourselves instead of letting ourselves become the victim.

But to build this, we need to experience...

GROWTH;

..because we always have the ability to become better every single day – as people, as partners, as parents, as friends, as business leaders, and as humans. Through self-exploration & meaningful experience we unshackle old chains and decode new parts of ourselves that builds traits of real Mental Strength, thus improving our own experiences and capacity to do more and prioritise ourselves, even under pressure.

All the while these pillars are of course accompanied by...

FITNESS & NUTRITION;

..because this is a form of self-care that spills over into everything else – when we finally understand our beliefs, behaviour patterns, and build a strong foundational mindset, only then can we understand pragmatically how to look after this aspect in the long run. Ultimately this gives you the physical appearance you desire, the energy you crave, the strong positive influence others need from you and the capacity to accomplish more.

Now here's the obvious questions:

Does this mean you need a coach to do this?

Short answer is, NO - not always.

Will it take longer without a coach:

YES, of course it will - and without the spare time to filter the gold from the garbage, probably decades, or even never.

How do you focus on these 4 Pillars then?

Shortest answer; read the right books, learn mindfulness, journal, identify your own triggers, dive deep into your own psyche. Basically...

..research, practice, try new stuff, fail, try again, fail again, try some more, fail some more, challenge your own thoughts, start small, build consistency, prove old beliefs wrong, prove new theories right, and bridge the gaps between emotions-feelings-actions.

Just like building a business solo, it's doable alone, but it's just painfully time consuming and really f***ing hard.

Okay, that's a wrap.

Hopefully this gets you to shift away from the old diet and gym cycle. I'll go through each of the pillars in more depth over coming releases to help you explore them.

Signing off.
