2 creator tools that I will die by crossing over into my creative Twilight Zone
Barry Gipson
I connect Dallas Cowboys fans at LIVE events annually and share my weekly Next Level Game thoughts on cannabis for veteran content creators. ??
It Takes Money To Create Money
When I was a kid, when my parents were asleep late at night, I would sneak out of my room to watch The Twilight Zone.
HOOAH ARMY
I wanted to be like my father, David. He had his tools in his SHOP. He served in the Army in Germany and was pretty handy. He was a carpenter who could paint and a welder who built BBQ pits out of metal barrels in his SHOP.
Looking around my lab while sitting at my desk, I can see the resemblance now. However, my CPU has all my digital tools at my disposal.?David?had a shop in Thrall, TX, full of tools. I want to share two digital tools I use in my shop today. Creatively speaking, I will die by them.
I needed to demonstrate in this week's edition of Next Level Game. Demonstration beats conversation. Remember? Remove the Cowboys and Cannabis from my content alone, and these two tools can help raise your creative bottom lines in 2025. It does for mine.
"There is a 5th dimension beyond that which is known to man. it is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow."
I like to call myself a creative triple threat. I can write, create complex art with?CANVA, and, most importantly, build community through live social media video broadcasts with?STREAMYARD. They say it takes money to make money. More on that later.
Did you know Rod Serling, who created The Twilight Zone, also served in the Army as a paratrooper in WWII? If how to monetize your experience was a person. Here are the two tools.
1. CANVA
I just realized today that I have used CANVA for a decade. This week's edition is not money-driven to capture a sale on my affiliate link from you, though, trust me. These tools are in my digital business SHOP until I exit the chat. The best musical advice I ever heard was creating and?owning your masters. That led me to CANVA in 2015—vertical integration.
This platform has helped me grow my bottom line creatively and figuratively. It has also grown tremendously with the creator in mind. For $12.99 a month, it's the best tool I've invested in since entering my creative twilight zone. A FREE version is also available.
I used to pay for artwork on platforms like FIVER and even knew a NINERS fan in California who was skilled with Adobe Photoshop. However, I have not spent any money with either of them in some years. Self-sufficiency is the name of the creator game here, veterans.
I began creating the cover art once I knew the story I wanted to tell in this week's NLG edition. The four keys to creating compelling content are something old, new, borrowed, and blue. When I was in the Navy, the TWILIGHT ZONE usually meant your last tour before retiring. After retiring in 2016, I officially entered my own creative twilight zone.
"Submitted for your approval."
2. STREAMYARD
On the other hand, I have an affiliate link for Streamyard if you feel compelled to click it after reading this week's edition. Other options are available for live video enthusiasts like myself. I get that. Like CANVA, however, Streamyard has also grown creatively as a video platform.
The most important feature I like is the ability to stream live video to multiple destinations. Most of my social media shenanigans occur on Facebook, so when I use Streamyard, I can share the same LIVE video on YouTube, LinkedIn, and Facebook simultaneously.
Streaming quality LIVE video on social media costs money, too. The monthly fee for individuals on the plan I'm currently on is $44.99. Here are the?individual and business?options for Streamyard. That is not my affiliate link, either. Video is king on social media. Video creates community. It has for many Dallas Cowboys fans.
CANVA is also helpful for creating covers, overlays, and image-popping thumbnails on YouTube to generate clicks and views—what I like to call creative compound interest with Streamyard. This will literally and figuratively improve your brand or business's image and bottom line.?Click here?to get started on Streamyard today. Yes, that's my affiliate link.

Take It From A Veteran
Veterans are naturally more technology savvy. Thanks to the Navy, I have utilized my keyboard more effectively. Like Rod, who served in the Army, video seems to be the common denominator. At one point, I was not ready for the camera. Take it from a veteran.
I knew that live video had to contribute to my survival as a content creator. Life happened to me during those creative years before the camera, as it does to all of us. Although it sometimes gets in the way of my creativity, it has become very therapeutic for my mental health and well-being.
"Between science and superstition. And it lies in the pit of a man's fears and the summit of his knowledge."This is the dimension of imagination, it is an area which we call, The Twilight Zone."
I do share that GETTING HELP is ok for veterans. Doing so has helped my creative efforts and mission tremendously. The VA is not your enemy. Ask for help. While I was getting help, I was able to continue creating. It was a win-win. We need more creative veterans like Rod Serling.
Veterans with these two creator tools in their digital SHOPS can start creating cannabis content for $58 monthly. In today's world, not much is free. WIFI is, though. Between us, this newsletter is really just some FREE GAME. Demonstration beats conversation in 2025.
That's the Next Level Game. In next week's edition, I will exclusively explore cannabis content-creator opportunities for veterans. Yes, both of these tools can help with that, too. Join my newsletter today. See you next week!
