Just 8% ‘very familiar’ with Web3 despite global crypto hype

The term ‘Web3’ has gained significant traction in an era characterised by an ever-evolving digital landscape. The technology promises to reshape the Internet as we know it.

Web3 has generated widespread excitement within the crypto and tech communities. However,?BitcoinCasino.com ?reveals that despite the global hype surrounding cryptos, only 8% of the population consider themselves “very familiar” with Web3.

BitcoinCasinos expert Edith Reads commented on the issue. “Web3 is undoubtedly a transformative technology poised to reshape the digital landscape. While the current statistics may seem discouraging, they are merely indicative of the challenges faced in introducing complex innovations to a broader audience. World-first blockchain storage partnership agreed to protect data of 500,000 students in Africa

OmniIndex, the secure Web3 data platform, has agreed a deal with Future-X Education ?and?Cross River State?in Nigeria to secure the data of every student in the state with blockchain storage and fully encrypted analytics.

The new partnership will see the data of an estimated 500,000 individuals become fully protected with encryption, redacted anonymisation and Web3 security.?The use of blockchain and encryption technologies will enable accurate real-time insights to improve educational outcomes without ever exposing the individual personal details of those involved.

The agreement with Cross River State is the first deal of its kind in the world and is a marker of Nigeria’s ambition to create a blockchain-powered economy supporting secure transactions, data sharing, and value exchange between people, businesses, and government. Nigeria’s?National Blockchain Policy ,?released in May 2023, outlines the key benefits of such an approach, including the improved transparency and accountability, increased efficiency, enhanced security and financial inclusion that blockchain technology can provide.?

Kayak makes blockchain push with new enterprise corporate travel offering

Travel search engine Kayak is dipping its toe into the water for corporate travel for large companies – and is looking to eliminate expense reporting for flights with a solution built on blockchain technology.

The company launched its free Kayak for Business tool in 2020 for small- and medium-sized organisations, with a full launch coming a year later. Yet the enterprise-focused solution – which understandably carries a much bigger prize – has come about through a partnership with Blockskye, a blockchain startup focused on the aviation industry.
