My small effort at writing my second book...I have strongly borrowed from my life's learning...hope not to BORE you all :)

1st chapter from my book on 'Value education for enhancing Social Consciousness 

WHAT IS VALUE?

What is a Value,

For me, Value is the innate quality which I have as a human being

Which any living or non-living being has and works by

A flower’s value is spreading beauty and fragrance

A Sun’s value is spreading light and brightness

The earth’s value is to be a mother and care

A mother’s value is to give life and nurture

A father’s value is to give his gene and help the child walk

A son’s value is to just love, be grateful and be there in time of need!

The tree is a bundle of values – of giving, sharing, caring, humility and respect

The vastness of ocean personifies – values of large heartedness, depth of love, washing off all that is bad!

All things small and big, all creatures living and non-living-

I believe are a bundle of Values!

All are focused on values which they were created for!

If this was the basis of education, i.e. value based education…

Life would be simpler, more meaningful and happy! …..WhiteSwan ‘Anjali’

I Pray that such value based education becomes the basis of our life, leading to an overall raising of social consciousness of our world we live in.

The area of value education is a very subjective area, and so is consciousness.

I wonder, how does a flower look so beautiful and why does it capture our attention…I believe since it is focused on its value of giving out fragrance and spreading beauty.

My Learning:

When one is focused on the value, for which one was created for…that is, it is concentrated on its innate strength, the automatic response to it, is love!

If Ocean did not have the depth and vastness, and did not give back whatever we put into it…would we still be drawn to it the way we are right now! We are just drawn to the ocean for its vastness of purity, peace and calm, and at times for its deep treasures, and the love with which it engulfs us in its arms.

I get drawn to it, for its morning serenity, for the coolness it embodies, for the love with which it surrounds me always…no assumptions no conditions!

I being a mother of two sons…feel my innate value is to give them strength of righteousness and direction while spoiling them at times ?

Nurturing is the basic value, a mother is made of, but pruning is another value a mother has to abide with. If she did not prune the rough and unruly feathers of her child, she would not be doing justice to him!

As a human being, I am a bundle of values which get manifested in my worldly roles and responsibilities. The different roles I play make me focused on operationalizing the subjective values which are core to that role.

As a daughter or son, I love to bask in my parents love when I am young. While I care and tend my parents when they are old, and so does my son or daughter tend me when I am old…and so the cycle goes on…!

As a wife…I stand by my husband in all the ups and downs and make his pride mine, his family mine, his goals also at times mine (try aligning my goals to his)…I am his wife, we share the same path the same road. My value is to be with him in thick and thin, be happy in what he has, cherish him, love him, respect him! I believe this value of a wife creates a multiplier effect and leads the other person (husband) also reciprocating the same way! And vice versa

I love to sing and be happy…that is my value of being a pure soul.

Being my own multiplier of all values, is again an in-built value which I have as a pure soul.

I just adore the feeling of oneness with HIM and all HIS creation. The Universe becomes one with me, when I just ‘Still my Brain and Visualize oneness with it’. I can walk on the ocean, and can ride the divine golden and silver rays, inhale the divinity, internalize and be it!
