1st Award for "The Well Ran Dry: Memoirs of a Motherless Child"
Independent Award from G.A.N.S.P.A in Atlanta in 2014, "Best Autobiography."
What if you created a vision board of all the places and things you wanted to draw into your life and one by one, things started materializing? Some people do not believe in vision boards, but in Habakkuk 2:2, we are instructed to write down our vision on tablets so that those who see them can run.
It was November 2014 when I created my first vision board. The energy I received while completing the board and the positivity that embraced my life afterwards are undeniable. An award for my freshman book was one of many of those things on my first vision board. I didn't know this organization until they I ran across their nomination list on my Facebook timeline.
Instantly, I was encouraged to submit my book for consideration, but did not think anything about it having a chance at actually being selected. I received an invitation to the award event in Atlanta, Georgia and WOW!!! My book was selected as "Best Autobiography"! What??
This was yet another one of so many things that have become my reality since 2014. One of the final things on that first vision board that I have yet to experience will be done in November 2018. Four years later, I will reassess my position and create a new vision board. I cannot wait to see what the next four years will unpack. I'm ready for it, regardless.
Care to join me for some vision boarding, anyone?
