A New Chapter of Goalong, the second phase of the Goalong Distillery Officially Started Construction

On the morning of 12th November, the foundation stone was laid for the expansion of the Liuyang Goalong Liquor Distillery Co., Ltd in Liuyang, Hunan Province. As one of the top three Chinese whisky distilleries in terms of size and production volume, the expansion of the Liuyang Goalong Liquor Distillery Co., Ltd is of great significance for the company's own development. The ceremony was attended by Liu Zhengde, Secretary of Liuyang Provincial Agricultural Science and Technology Park, Dai Zhonghe, Director of Liuyang Provincial Agricultural Science and Technology Park, etc. Gao Kailang, Chairman of Liuyang Goalong Liquor Distillery Co., Ltd, couldn't hide his excitement, he put forward the plan for this project and expressed his determination to try his best on distilling premium Chinese whisky.

Prior to this, the first phase of Liuyang Goalong Liquor Distillery Co., Ltd covers an area of 39 acres, with R & D laboratory, distillation workshop, four seasons cellar, filling workshop, comprehensive office building as the main focus, with a designed annual production capacity of 4 million liters, and an annual production of more than 10,000 barrels. At present, there are about 28 types of barrels in the cellar, in addition to the traditional bourbon, sherry, port and other barrels, there are also the main speciality products of Chinese brandy barrels. The expansion project (hereinafter referred to as the second phase of the project) covers an area of 40 acres, with a building area of about 40,000 square meters. The project includes production, barrel aging, bottling and tourism, including a fully automated workshop a 100,000-barrel constant temperature and humidity cellar, and a visitor center (including a hotel, restaurant and whisky museum, etc.).

Goalong Distillery has been committed to promoting the development of the local whisky industry since its inception, and has continued to innovate and raise quality standards. Their rigorous delivery standards have made them the first Chinese distillery to export single malt whisky abroad. The completion of the foundation stone for the second phase of the expansion of Goalong distillery is an important milestone in the development of the Liuyang Goalong Liquor Distillery Co., Ltd. As Chinese whisky becomes more and more recognized in the international market, a increasing number of consumers are beginning to recognize and enjoy Chinese whisky products. As one of the first established distilleries in China, Goalong Distillery will be able to better meet the demands of the international market by improving its production capacity and product quality.

Hunan Agricultural University and Goalong distillery reached a co-operation agreement on internship practice, Professor Su awarded the medal of it to Goalong distillery.

The completion of the expansion project will also contribute to the development of the whisky industry and the local economy. As a key enterprise in Liuyang, the development of Liuyang Goalong Liquor Distillery Co., Ltd will directly contribute to the development of the related industrial chain, creating more employment opportunities ，enhancing the vitality and competitiveness of the local economy. At the same time, Goalong Distillery will also promote the development of the tourism industry. The second phase of the project will establish a visitor center to attract more tourists to come to taste and buy quality whisky and specialties in Liuyang, Hunan Province, which will further promote the tourism economy around.
