"A 19th Century Red Earthenware Object that was Recently Discovered in a Thrift Shop in Southern Maine"
Two months ago, I briefly showed a red earthenware object that I found in a thrift store in Maine. I had suggested that it may have been made in northern New England or Canada; however, my research has recently revealed that this object is likely related to another object that is pictured in Lura Woodside Watkins book, 'Early New England Potters and Their Wares' - and, that object was made in Boston, circa 1850.
