On 14 May, the Tottenham C.B No.1 exchange was replaced by an automatic exchange.

The equipment was manufactured and installed by Standard Telephones & Cables Ltd.

This amazing technology allowed us to reach a staggering 6,000 customers - oh how times have changed :-)
