?? IN THE NEWS
H&M , Arc'teryx , and Zalando have joined The Fashion ReModel, a new initiative by the Ellen MacArthur Foundation aimed at helping brands 'make money without making new clothes'.
The Fashion ReModel encourages participating brands to expand circular business models, including rental, resale, repair, and recycling, while reducing the production and consumption of new materials. The goal is to "decouple revenue from the production of new garments, advancing the long-term journey to make a circular economy for fashion a reality."

Videos showcasing the fashion manufacturing process are going viral on TikTok . This trend reflects the younger generation's increasing interest in understanding how and where their products are made.
Brands are starting to embrace this trend. For instance, PUMA Group recently launched a series of films created by Gen Z filmmakers that showcase its factories in Bangladesh, Vietnam, and Turkey. Similarly, the UK-based streetwear brand Clints Inc shared a video on Instagram highlighting the process of making its popular trainers.

?? PIONEER HIGHLIGHT
A company committed to circular fashion and degrowth models is Otrium. Instead of producing new clothes, Otrium ensures that existing garments find their way to consumers and are worn. Otrium connects fashion brands with their members and offers them items from previous collections. They breathe new life into these styles so they don't end up as waste: they restore their value by repairing them, rephotographing them, and bringing them to a whole new audience of 5 million environmentally conscious consumers. Their aim is that one day all clothing produced will be worn instead of thrown away.
Another pioneer to look out for in the circular fashion and degrowth space is BOAS | Fast Vintage Fashion ! They save jeans from being burnt or ending up in landfills by speeding up the vintage fashion buying process, making it ten times faster so anyone can buy used instead of new. As if that weren't enough, they also save lives by donating 90% of their profits to the most effective lifesaving charities.
