Today is the 102nd anniversary of the day when our Great Leader Atatürk went to Samsun and started the legendary journey that he and his comrades in arms will carry out for liberation and establishment. Today is the 19 May Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day. Happy Days.

The First World War was over in 1918. The Mondros Armistice Agreement was signed on 30 October 1918 and entered into force the next day. On 5 November, Sultan Vahdettin signed the decree to demobilize the army. From November 10, 1918, the country began to be occupied in parts.

The Turkish army and Meclis-i Mebusan were declared a holiday on December 21, 1918. Taking advantage of this, many separatist organizations started an uprising attempt.

Mustafa Kemal Atatürk came to Istanbul by train from Adana on November 11, due to the abolition of the Y?ld?r?m Armies Group Command. He landed at Haydarpa?a Train Station.
