I wrote this post 5+ years ago for Millennials, and I'm reposting it for my Gen Z readers (with a few tweaks.) Why? Because they are still relevant today and tomorrow as they were back then.
- Know who you are. Don't let social media or someone else define you.
- Discover your talents early in life. They’ll lead you to your life purpose.
- Make personal and professional growth a priority.
- Be friendly to others. Jerks lose in the long run.
- Don’t burn bridges. You may just end up stuck on an island.
- Think positively. It takes as much work to think negatively, but the rewards are better.
- Don’t look down on others. They may be ahead of you tomorrow.
- Manage your time and money. They are bad masters when they manage you.
- Start living healthy early in life. It’s more expensive to start when you are older.
- Don’t fear failure and mistakes. Their bark is much louder than their bite.
- Laugh at yourself often. Don't take yourself too seriously.
- Your view of life is yours alone. Appreciate how others see life.
- Experience other cultures. Your life will be richer from the experience.
- Become an expert in your zone. Average people don’t amount to much.
- Live to make a difference in life. But remember that life will go on without you.
- Have a vision for your life. You are on this earth for a reason.
- You can’t please everyone. Just don’t hurt the important people in your life.
- And enjoy the spotlight now. Gen Alpha are at least 10 years away from joining the workforce.
- Above all, put God first. He really exists.
