This is how I illustrate a Century. To lay a table with artefacts, things, that were common at different people′s tables. I show you both my in-doors and open-air performances where I also present something to eat.
At Vadstena
At Koffsan
Koffsan is an island in J?rf?lla. It was here Carl Linnaeus made his first plant inventory, Flora koffsoensis, 1731. He found 88 different plants. The cakes I have baked is called Cajsa Warg′s f?nk?lskakor. Cajsa Warg also lived during the 18th Century and she was a Swedish cookbook author and one of the best-known cooks in Swedish history.
These are things you can do in school, too. Pupils will understand history from the artefacts and they have the posibility to increase their interest and understanding of the environment. Teaching today is more or less abstract. But the learning environment can be more physical and authentic.
