The 18th anniversary of 911; a Day I will never Forget.
What happened on 911 is still in my mind and in my heart each and every day of my life. I was blessed that day that I was able to help many people survive and safely get out of the building seconds before it came crashing down. Many of my dear friends and business associates and thousands of others were not lucky enough to have survived. But the important thing is all the survivors and the American people came together as one to support the families of the people who were lost.
Unfortunately as the years have passed many more survivors of that day have lost their lives due to the terrorist attack. It is really amazing how much the world has changed in the past 18 years and how the American people seem to have forgotten and no longer care about the effects of that day and the harm it caused.
It is important to never forget the pain and suffering that day caused for so many people and their families. Two years ago one of the colleges near where I was working was thinking of cancelling a memorial for 911 so I attended and shared my story publicly for the first time.
North Texan Shares 9/11 Survival Story
911 should never be forgotten because it taught us all many valuable lessons. It is important in life to never panic and always stay strong because it is possible to survive and get through all situations that life will bring upon us. Most important with the help and support of family and friends we can accept what has happened in our lives and move forward together.
Like I do each anniversary –“I will remind everyone to take a moment and reach out to your Loved Ones, Friends and Business Associates and thank them for being a part of your life. It is important to remember how lucky and blessed we all are to be alive, and have these individuals with us each and every day. This is important because we never know what tomorrow will bring”
I hope that no one will ever have to experience the pain and suffering that took place that day. I lost a lot of dear friends but their strength, love, and friendship, will always be in my heart.
I am truly blessed to have survived that day and to be completely physically and mentally healthy and alive today.
Thanks,
Chris
