187 Monthly Seminar PMI Pune-Deccan

On 13th July 2024, I attended the monthly event organized by PMI Pune Chapter event. I enjoyed every moment. Learnt about project management in armed forces presented by Angshuman Mukerjee and tools and techniques to practise emotional intelligence by Ambarish Walimbe. Also, got an opportunity to network with people. Got introduced to Kytes - one stop shop for all project management needs.

Angshuman presented the commonalities and differences in project management with respect to armed forces and the corporate world. The presentation was captivating and information.

Takeaways from Angshuman's presentation:

• Everyone in the chain of command is aware of the objective and goal of the mission
• Succession plan is imperative
• People are key to the success of a mission
• True diversity is practised in it's true sense
• Prepare for the worst
• SOPs should be followed

Takeaways from Ambarish's presentation:

• Important to understand emotions
• Practise mindfulness of any kind to deal with emotions
• Pay attention to the triggers and acknowledge them
• Empathize
• Respond and do not react

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the session and looking forward to many more.
