182 MODULES VS 210 MODULES,WHO'S THE KING OF POWER GENERATION

JA Solar and TüV NORD took the lead in comparing the power generation performance of 182 modules and ultra-high current modules (both bifacial modules) at the National Photovoltaic Demonstration Base in Yinchuan, China. Subsequent reports show that the power generation gain of the 182 module relative to the ultra-high current module up to 1.9%.

LONGi has also carried out empirical studies in Xi'an and Taizhou respectively. The data obtained recently can be mutually confirmed with the above studies: 182 modules are generally better in outdoor power generation performance compared to ultra-high-current modules, and the higher the irradiation the advantage is more obvious in the region.

LONGi's power generation empirical results in Xi'an and Taizhou, combined with JA TüV NORD's empirical results in Yinchuan, it can be determined that lower internal losses make 182 modules have clear power generation performance advantages compared to ultra-high current modules under normal circumstances. It will increase with the rising of the light resources of the project. The 182 module is a product that can achieve the lowest cost per unit of electricity after comprehensively considering factors such as the manufacturing situation of the whole industry chain of the module, the BOS cost of the power station, the power generation performance of the module, and the reliability of the module life cycle.
