18,000 TONNES IN 10 DAYS: HYUNDAI DUMP TRUCK HANDLES HEAVY-DUTY EARTHWORKS.

50cm deep ruts in clay soil. Constant working at full load. Operating up to 7 days a week. Contractor Stefan Jodlbauer from Passau, Bavaria is certainly putting its new Hyundai HA30A dump truck to the test.

?In just two weeks, the machine will be loaded with 10,000 tonnes of heavy clay soil near Eholfing, before spreading it over an area of 15,000 sq/m and then covering with topsoil. Jodlbauer chose the HA30A as the right ADT for the job, a machine that was only unveiled for the first time at BAUMA 2022.

The Perfect Machine

“You couldn’t do this type of work with just a tractor-trailer combination or a four-axle lorry”, says Owner Stefan Jodlbauer of the new machine which was supplied by local Hyundai dealer, M?rtlbauer Baumaschinen. On its construction site, Jodlbauer uses a Hyundai 18-tonne tracked excavator with a 1.8 m3 backhoe bucket. It takes 8 runs to load the ADT, after which it drives a few hundred metres, tips while driving and returns to the loading point.

Won over by performance!

Stefan Jodlbauer was won over by the performance, the ergonomic cab design and the tailgate, which allows for efficient loading of the body. Thanks to its innovative body heating system, the risk of material caking on the bottom is minimised.
