We are as great as we help others become, including ourselves. The following are "18 Ways To Make Better Decisions In 2018" to increase awareness if you are being aware of the right influences, considerations, and consequences to your decisions.

Hope they are of value to you while looking at decisions in your home, building into your kids, at work, with friends, and your family.

DECISION MATRIX | Gut check

  1. Am I making good decisions? Simple, yet powerful. Creates the space to utilize a moment to assess the landscape of your current situation with quick mindfulness. Is what I'm doing making things better or worse?
  2. Is what I'm feeling, seeing, and hearing true? Is the source from God, or elsewhere? Am I chasing down Jesus with my behavior that determines results, or running away from Him? Am I basing my thoughts on facts, or lies attempting to cover me up I need to lighten the burden on?
  3. Am I choosing joy? Do I have an attitude of "up". Am I making declarations to be a magnet for good?
  4. Is who I am around giving energy, or taking it? Am I in community with the right people?
  5. Will this build or break my reputation? How are my actions being an extension of my character?
  6. Am I being a good teammate? Are we having each others backs, or acting selfishly?
  7. Am I listening to understand, or to respond? Focus on what's really being conveyed to solve problems.
  8. Do I have the right perspective? Is this considering the big picture, or just the short term? Do I need to take a pause, reflect & meditate?
  9. Where do I need boundaries? Am I permitting someone to disrespect me, or make me feel less than?
  10. Are my actions healthy? Am I influencing in a positive manner that speaks life into & builds, or being destructive & harming? Is what I am engaging in producing or consuming? Happiness is not success, but success is happiness.
  11. Do I need more information? Am I getting wise advisement for discernment, coaching, and feedback? How can I smooth out the rough lines, or polish up in certain areas?
  12. Am I being humble? How can I be of a graceful posture, balance, poise & moderation?
  13. Am I acting out of fear? Am I facing challenges with a bold smile? How can I engage in positive adventure?
  14. Am I taking ground forward, or making excuses and blaming? Are my priorities aligned to goals, and are one of them taking care of my heart? Am I doing all I can, do to all I can? Don't be a victim of self.
  15. Is this lifting others and myself up, or tearing down? Am I creating opportunities, or sabotaging situations? Is what I am doing helpful or harmful to my relationships?
  16. Am I aligning to God's path as His hands & feet, or the world's? What's the Holy Spirit saying to me here? Are there items that repetitively show themselves, or you're dwelling on to be prayerful on?
  17. Am I being accountable? Am I pushing ahead through the peaks and valleys to fail forward, or being stuck? Is there an opportunity to remove pride, take away blinders, gut guilt, shed shame, and break chains on bad habits or the past to be free from? Is this an attempt to create division in my life with distractions? Am I carrying the regrets and brokenness of others, or being responsible for items I shouldn't be?
  18. Is this a leadership moment? Is this a chance of encouragement & compassion, or am I being judgmental? What is the opportunity to experience growth in my character? You get what you expect & tolerate. Am I giving enough effort? Am I trying to control too much and need to step back & breath?

Write your story! Choose joy, make good decisions, have an attitude of "up", be courageous, and cheers to much adventure in 2018.

All the best,

The Siegel's
