18 Months to EU Pay Transparency: Is Your Business Ready?

Welcome to 2025! It’s hard to believe we’re already on the clock for one of the most significant shifts in workplace equality: the EU Pay Transparency Directive. If you employ workers in the EU, the countdown is on - just 18 months to get compliant before the 2026 deadline.

Don’t worry, though. This month’s Closing the Gap newsletter is your toolkit for navigating these changes. Packed with expert advice, actionable guides, and exclusive event invites, it’s all here to help you get pay-transparency-ready.

Who’s Driving This Thing?!

Hi there - Michelle Dervan here. I’m the founder and CEO of SkillsTrust, and I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself (and put a face to this newsletter).

After spending 10+ years in economic development and edtech in the U.S., I returned home to Dublin to tackle one of the workplace’s biggest challenges: pay inequality. Driven by a deep curiosity about the forces shaping economic mobility, I’m focused on a critical piece of the puzzle: pay transparency.

Now, SkillsTrust provides SMBs with the tools and data they need to drive real change in this area. Our mission is to make it simple, fast and cost-effective for every small and medium-sized business operating in the EU to be more transparent about their pay.

This newsletter is just one way we’re helping businesses like yours take the lead.

Feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn - I’d love to hear how you’re approaching pay transparency in your organisation.
