17 years in OOCL

I do not post many articles on Linked in in general, but this morning I just wanted to thank all the people that congratulated me for my 17 years in OOCL.

This is a milestone, and definitely time flies by so fast it is amazing.

I still remember my first day as sales representative, arriving on Jan 2nd, 2007, in a company that has always seem so different from the others I worked for: company culture, care for its employees and great work environment dedicated to service quality. Everything I was looking for.

To this day, even though my position has changed through the years, I am as motivated as the first day I arrived ??

No issue with waking up in the morning, come to the office and meet my colleagues.

High motivation each day to serve as best as possible OOCL customers.?

Working in the shipping is a so interesting as each day is different:

• challenges come in and out on a daily basis.
• We meet interesting people often.
• We work in an environment that is impacted by economics and geopolitics, and so in the real life.
• We are an important part of the logistics chain to make sure products arrive on time and in good conditions to the final destination.
• …?

I could go on and on about all the good things of the shipping industry, but one element I would also like to mention is that my different roles in OOCL has changed me over the years.

I started as sales representative, then moved to sales manager and now country manager. Each position bringing me experience and new challenges that I embraced all along.?

This would never have been possible if I did not meet and work with people that inspired me, helped me out or had faith in me and my capabilities.?

So, a big thank you to you all, and let’s get rolling for another 17 years ??
