?? 170 bison could help store the CO2 equivalent of 43,000 cars

European Bison have been absent from the Romanian wilderness for over 200 years, but Rewilding Europe & WWF-Romania recently reintroduced a herd to the Tarcu Mountains. Now, a study has found that they are potentially capturing an additional 54,000 tonnes of carbon a year, as they stimulate plant growth and secure carbon in the soil whilst they graze.?

It’s estimated 1 million animals are killed every day just from vehicle collisions. But engineers have come up with a great solution: wildlife crossings. The world’s biggest one is under construction in LA. It will allow animals to cross 8 lanes safely and keep local wild areas connected.
