“Delivering measurable results to clients, employees, and vendors.”
The great thing about Social media is that you can track almost every movement and detail that occurs through social media metrics.
The art of Social media measurement begins with how well you understand social media metrics, including the order and meaning of each key metric.
In this topic, I will review 16 keys for Social media metrics that you can check out.
Before we discuss the 16 keys for social media metrics, let's start to understand What are SOCIAL METRICS?
Social Media Metrics are data points that show how well your social media strategy is performing. These metrics will help you understand everything from how many people view your content to how much money you make on social media, metrics are like a building block for continuous improvement and growth.
A survey conducted in early 2022 shows that social media success can be tracked through metrics. The number of metrics you need to track will depend on the size of your budget and team size, as well as your business goals. Below I include benchmarks that can help you set realistic work goals.
Metrics fall into 6 categories:
The 6 categories above will be subdivided into several detailed metrics sections, let's check this:
# Awareness Metrics
∞ Reach
Reach is simply the number of people who viewed your content. It's a good idea to monitor your average reach of each post, story, or video.
An important part of this metric is to see what percentage of your reach consists of followers vs. not a follower. If a lot of non-followers see your content, it means your content is shared or running well within the algorithm, or both.
∞ Impressions
On impressions, you can see how many times people have viewed your content. It could be higher than reach because the same person may see your content more than once. A very high impression rate compared to reach means that people viewed the post multiple times.
Audience Growth Rate
On audience growth rate you can measure how many new followers your brand has gained on social media in a given period. Not like a simple count like seeing how many new followers you have. Instead, we measure the number of your new followers as a percentage of your total audience. So when you're just starting, getting 10 or 200 new followers in a month means your social media growth is high. But to maintain that high value, you need a lot of new followers. Here is the formula for calculating your audience growth rate presentation:

# Engagement Metrics
Engagement Rate
Its function is to measure the number of engagements such as; reactions, comments, and sharing.
The definition of ''Audience'' may differ from yours. You may calculate the relative engagement count just from the number of your followers. But not all of your followers will see every post, you may get engagement from people who don't (yet) follow you. Here is one method and a formula that can be used:
TOTAL LIKES, COMMENTS, SHARE
______________________________________ X 100
TOTAL FOLLOWERS
Development Rate (Amplification)
It is the ratio of shares per post to the overall number of followers.
Avinash Kaushik, author and digital marketing evangelist at Google, states that amplification is “the rate at which your followers take your content and share it through their network.”
So basically, the higher your amplification level, the more your followers expand your reach for you. Here is the formula for calculating the amplification level presentation value:
TOTAL POSTS

TOTAL FOLLOWERS
