16 free CEUs - Collaborative Problem Solving Training Program
Join McKinley's free Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) training, facilitated by Think:Kids, a renowned program in the Department of Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital. This comprehensive training, taking place in late June, offers professionals and responding law enforcement working with at-risk youth in California an innovative, research-based approach to address challenging behaviors.
The CPS model focuses on equipping children and adults with essential skills to solve problems, manage frustration, and be more flexible. It emphasizes collaboration between adults and children, enabling them to work together towards mutually agreeable solutions. The model has demonstrated remarkable outcomes, including significant reductions in self-inflicted injuries, seclusion and restraint, and oppositional behavior.
By attending this training, professionals in law enforcement, group homes, shelters, and therapeutic programs can gain practical assessment methods, help children develop lifelong skills, and make their work easier. The program will be conducted by CPS experts from Think:Kids and hosted by McKinley's MCertified Training Center over four days in June. Thanks to a grant, the training is FREE.?Reserve your spot by clicking here. Join us and make a positive impact on the lives of at-risk youth.
