16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, the state of UX & doggy advent calendars

Every Friday we round up what our team at?William Joseph (B Corp)?has been sharing from the worlds of brand, digital and beyond (often pet photos!).

The?16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence?is an annual international campaign that kicks off on 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and runs until 10 December, Human Rights Day.?

The William Joseph team had an incredibly enlightening session from Dawn Velody -Training to Change as part of the campaign this week. We noted that a real milestone is the updated definition of domestic abuse in 2021 which, for the first time, recognises the sort of covert behaviours that don't leave visible scars.

The UX Collective give their views on the state of UX in 2024. They say "Much like late-stage capitalism, late-stage UX is characterized by its market saturation, heavy focus on financial growth, commoditization, automation, and increased financialization." Find how to handle the situation here:

Doggy advent calendars are a thing - who knew! Ozzy is very excited by them either way...
