15th Annual Golf Classic

On Monday, June 5, Michigan First hosted the 15th annual Raymond Dudus Memorial Golf Classic. Presented by Holzman Law, PLLC and sponsored by 28 other amazing companies and individuals, this year’s outing at The Links of Novi Singh was played by 124 registered golfers.

Our annual outing is in honor of Raymond Dudus, who served as chairman of the board at Michigan First. He helped lead the Credit Union to early success and golf was easily one of his favorite past times. Ray was a teacher, passionate about education and dedicating more than 40 years of his life to shaping the futures of students he taught. He was a great influence on the lives of many, including fellow teachers and anyone he worked alongside. When he passed away in 2014, the outing was renamed in his honor.

All proceeds from the outing help support our annual scholarship competition, in which the Michigan First Foundation awards up to $87,000 each year to deserving students, $1.5 Million in total since inception. This year’s outing has funded more than half of the scholarships that will be awarded this fall and will allow numerous students the opportunity to receive a college education.
