1.5°C Pathway

The ever-increasing threat of climate change poses significant challenges to global economies and development, highlighting the urgent need for resilient and up-to-date mechanisms. Investing in renewable energy sources and energy efficiency technologies plays a pivotal role in driving progress and adding substantial value to this transformative process.

“IRENA's latest findings demonstrate encouraging strides, particularly within the power sector, where renewables accounted for an impressive 83% of capacity additions and contributed to 40% of global installed power generation in 2022. The current investment on energy transition technologies has reached USD 1.3 trillion as of 2022. However, to stay on track with the 1.5°C pathway, annual investments must increase over fourfold.

According to the report, achieving the 1.5°C target by 2050 necessitates a cumulative investment of USD 150 trillion for energy transition technologies, averaging an annual investment of over USD 5 trillion. Regrettably, the USD 0.5 trillion invested in renewables in 2022 falls significantly short of the required one-third of average annual investments under the 1.5°C Scenario.

Additionally, energy efficiency initiatives in end-use sectors call for an average annual investment of USD 1.8 trillion under the 1.5°C Scenario.”[1]

Solar Nature is strategically aligning its resources to proactively embrace this trend, while actively pursuing expanded collaborations with international partners in our shared pursuit of a sustainable future.
