1560 Sets
On any given week, I am lucky enough to catch at least 2 sunsets. Many times I am driving home from work. Other times, wife and I are enjoying a cup off coffee at the water. And that got me thinking. Something so simple as seeing the sun go down, gives me immense peace. But they are limited. Let me explain.
The average life expectancy of a man is 73. If I caught 2 sunsets a week until age 73, that would total 1560. In other words, the sun has gone down already far too many times for me, than what is left. 1560 sunsets. I don't want to waste a single one of them. So what am I to do??
Slow down and prioritize peace. I am really good at practicing the pause. But lately, I have been a step off. I am generally the most laid back person in the world. That said, I am still pretty chill, but I've noticed the difference. And while I'm not beating myself up about it, I know I can and should do better.?
What are you prioritizing?today? Trust me, there are no wrong answers. And don't let anyone else try and convince you otherwise. No one is standing in your shoes. No one has walked a mile in your moccasins. The importance of prioritizing today, is to ensure we have peace tomorrow.?
For me, 1560 is my focus. I know there are some weeks where I'll see the sun go down more than twice. I am also well aware, that some weeks I will not see it at all. The important thing to me is not to lose sight of the source. The source that gives me peace.?
1560. Breathe. Bask in the glow. All is well in my world.?
