Saudi Arabia's refinery crude exports surged 23% in September, reaching 1.54 million barrels per day (bpd), a 23-month high due to strong demand for products like diesel, which accounted for 47% of shipments.
Refinery output held steady at 2.76 million bpd, while crude exports rose 1.41% to 5.75 million bpd. Domestic petroleum demand dropped sharply due to seasonal changes.
OPEC countries, including Saudi Arabia, extended production cuts to stabilize the market. Additionally, Saudi Arabia's direct crude use fell due to cooler temperatures and energy diversification efforts aligned with its Saudi Vision 2030 strategy.
