15 years and still moving
Tensar Geosynthetics is a prime example of MasterMover’s commitment to quality as they add yet another new tug into their operations. Tensar’s Wuhan site has taken delivery of our MT2000+ to work alongside their existing tugs that have been slim lining the handling of goods for 15 years.
As the market leader in the manufacture of Geogrids, Tensar puts safety and efficiency at the forefront of their operations. Operations at the Wuhan site have been enhanced by MasterMover since 2004, and the renewal of their tugs late last year proves MasterMover electric tugs deliver quality cost-effective solutions. With numerous tugs on-site operations are mobile, efficient and lean. Our electric tugs have significantly reduced non-value-added time and the presence of forklift trucks in the production environment.
MasterMover has worked closely with Purchasing Manager - Wang Ge to ensure the machine we provided could easily be integrated into the existing operations. Wang Ge's attention to detail and enthusiasm for both quality and safety meant MasterMover was able to quickly identify the new requirements.
The MT2000+ was specified by MasterMover for the handling of winder carts weighing up to 17,000kg. With a maximum load capacity of 20,000kg, the MT2000+ has been integrated into the operations and is moving the load with ease. As part of the MasterTug range, the tug features a castor guard that self-levels to prevent foot trap risks as the back of the tug raises under load. Featuring an automatic braking system that stops both the machine and load if the operator releases the controls or as the tiller arm returns to vertical, the MT2000+ is keeping operators safe and reducing the risk of damage to products.
For manufacturers of heavy weight products like Tensar, MasterMover electric tugs allow the benefits of flow line manufacturing systems without the exorbitant costs. For the last twenty years we have been the market leader for specialist tug systems that mobilise heavy goods through factory and warehouse environments worldwide. MasterMover electric tugs are helping manufacturers move away from time consuming and unsafe traditional practices such as using forklift trucks and overhead cranes and look towards innovative safe handling solutions.
"The first tug we used at Wuhan in 2004. Two tugs being used at that time. Now we have four tugs. All tugs can still be used now. Thanks for you good quality product." Wang Ge, Purchasing Manager at Tensar Wuhan
With MasterMover’s latest innovation – the PS3000+, manufacturers like Tensar can further enhance their flow-line processes. A single operator can drive using a wireless transmitter to push, pull and manoeuvre loads aided by power steering, the only tug to boast this feature. A robust hydraulic mast and a coupling system provide maximum traction to the industrial drive wheel whilst the drive motor and side loading industrial capacity battery supply the power to move. A scalable and completely wireless solution, a maximum of 12 units can be programmed to work together in one synchronised movement or work individually. You can find out more about our PS3000+ here.
