15 years in same company!! What a journey!!

January 29, 2008 – the day when first landed in my professional career and the day in 2023 that made my 15th work anniversary. It seems like a lifetime ago, but somehow it has passed so quickly. It’s been a journey I’ve relished every minute of.

I came to Intertek straight from university and It’s fun that I never get bored to work. Many can’t believe that I have only worked for one company. However, the answer is very easy to articulate. I absolutely love my job, I always have. And secret of happiness does not lie doing what you like, but in liking what you do. Starting all alone in Quality division to now managing 4 location across Bangladesh- it's been quite a long journey over 15 years. A lot happened in these times ~moved across projects, been part of multiple cross functional teams, mentored by few, learned from many, lead the team, met people and built new relationships-the journey had been full of highs and lows. All the highs, lows and in between, I was always surrounded by the support of amazing people. This journey can’t be done without guidance and inspiration of my family, leaders, colleagues who are the true reasons for shaping my career here.

?And also there is an interesting thing about being with one company for such a long time as well: You know a lot about the history and how the company became what it is today.

While I continue progressing on this journey – I want to pause to thank those who believed in my abilities, for whom I enjoyed the success that came by my way, and very importantly my family and friends who have been staying without anyone of you this would have been impossible.

I must say, team is always the reason behind anyone’s growth. ?I am very lucky to have a highly motivated team . Leadership is quite hard, but when you get team in right pace, all that hard work is worth it. It’s just a great feeling. My aim is to leave the best legacy I can, it’s that simple for me as knowledge increase by sharing but not by saving.

Last but not least, I found my 2nd home here, I met some of my best friends through the Company, I experienced great office culture and environment, I got my comfort zone as a working mother, I felt safe always. This is the place which is equally friendly to my daughter also. When I took my daughter 1st time to my workplace, she was too young, still she felt the same happiness as I feel and during returning to home she was too excited to share to her Dad how much work she did in office!!! Though the work was drawing to the office stationery and managing those but It was the lovely experience.?

So what’s next? This is where I get excited, as I am always someone who is looking forward and feel energetic with new projects. It’s just really getting started!
