15 Years at the Heart of the Little 500
Spring at Indiana University brings the much-anticipated Little 500, and as the campus blooms, so does the excitement surrounding this event. Since 2009, Blueline has been deeply involved as an official media sponsor, working alongside the Indiana University Student Foundation. Reflecting on these 15 years, it’s remarkable to see the enduring connections and memories we've forged.
The Little 500, inspired by the Indianapolis 500 and starting in 1951, is more than a bicycle race. It's an integral part of IU culture, supporting student scholarships and fostering a spirit of philanthropy. Just last week, we celebrated another successful event, with our sponsored team, the Black Key Bulls, winning the 73rd men’s Little 500. Kappa Alpha Theta also took home victory in the 36th running of the women’s race. Their dedication and hard work continue to inspire us all.
Every year, the Bill Armstrong Stadium comes alive with the energy of fans and competitors. This annual gathering is a powerful reminder of the community and camaraderie that the Little 500 nurtures. Former Assistant Director of IUSF, Beth Miller, expressed her appreciation: "You have been a sponsor since 2009! Holy moly – where has the time gone?! Thanks for being such a great partner." These words reflect the deep bonds that have grown from this partnership.
Our commitment extends beyond just covering the races. The Little 500 serves as a creative collaboration for our interns, who gain valuable, hands-on experience in sports media and event coverage. This is part of our broader commitment to not just providing a service but building lasting relationships with those we work with. Whether it’s a brief video project or an extensive documentary, we focus on truly understanding and growing with the people and brands we collaborate with.
At Blueline, our relationships with clients and community are foundational. They are not merely connections; they are partnerships that evolve and deepen over time, reflecting one of our core values: being people-centric creatives who listen and build with care and respect to foster deep relationships.
As we look back on the years, we remember special moments like Barack Obama’s visit during the 2008 Women's Little 500 race, adding a memorable highlight to the rich history of this event.
