15 useful characteristics of entrepreneurs.

15 useful characteristics of entrepreneurs.

You may think that a perfect business plan and a good investment are everything that an entrepreneur needs for everything to take speed as a rocket. Well, that is barely partially correct. A good entrepreneur must have some qualities that are in favor towards success also. Among many being passionate, dedicated and optimistic is a good step in the right direction. An entrepreneur should among many traits have some of the following characteristics to a certain degree. Remember this is not traits as part of your personality, it is traits as parts of values and attitudes. And can easily be learned and fitted in to you value sets.

15 useful characteristics of entrepreneurs.

1) You must take action. You may have a concept, a practical one, but you didn’t plan an execution of the concept. That should not be done. The day you start building the concept, invent ways to execute it successfully along with it. Never plan a strategy afterwards.

2) You are insecure. Many big entrepreneurs feel insecured underneath regarding their business. Those who are nervous are hyper-focussed on becoming successful. Use insecurity as a motivation to fulfil your business goals.

3) You should be crafty. Don’t wait for resources to come along your way so that you start building something. Start with whatever resources you have; eventually you will get your hands on other resources also.

4) You are obsessed about the money; because the bitter truth is that no business is successful without cashflow and enough money. You need money every moment to make your business stand out in the league of competition.

5) You should entertain challenges. If that demands apology from you later on, so be it. Once in a life you need to get into hot water. If you face trouble, it shows that you are on the lookout for opportunities and you are flexible.

6) You should be fearless. You should look for potential even in the most risky situation. You should do so because you are bred under the belief that the time and money you have invested should eventually pay off in the long run. This optimism will help you overcome fear in those tricky situations.

7) You cannot sit down and relax. Even when your employees have gone home, you are continuously working to make those extra time profitable.

8) You should be flexible. Don’t keep only one way of planning and execution in your mind, otherwise you will never succeed. Evolve continuously in response to the market trends which are never static.

9) You should be comfortable while evaluating your own performance. You may make mistakes, but don’t be scared or hesitant to face that. Instead look out how you can improve.

10) Challenges must motivate you. You should be able to confront challenges and motivate yourself to work harder for improvement.

11) You consider yourself an outsider. It may happen that what you are trying to do may not be accepted in the first phase. Don’t feel broken down. Most entrepreneurs see these situations as an opportunity for development and hard work.

12) You recuperate quickly. Successful entrepreneurs fail for multiple numbers of times. But instead of lamenting, they immediately look for ways to mend the situation.

13) You must fulfil needs. Find out opportunities where you can contribute and look for ways to fix it.

14) Surround yourself with advisors.  Don’t surround yourself with “yes man”. Instead be in touch with people with experience who can give you valuable suggestions to improve.

15) Work and play hard. If you fall down, pick yourself up and strive to work hard until you get everything right. Focus on building liquidity.

These are the signs every successful entrepreneurs face.
