The habit of reading. The habit of reading good books. It change your life.

For years I was not a reader and then eventually I fell in love with reading. With a small nudge I was hooked.

The topics are endless. The lessons are endless and the more I read the more I become hungry to read. It's one area where as I learn and grow more the hunger to read does not subside.

I can recall two major turning points with reading. The first simply being able to pick up a book, dive into it and learn all I can. And for a long time I was happy to just be reading.

The second turning point came when I realized all the things I could apply from reading good books. That turning point changed everything.

So why the fascination? There are millions of books written to help us learn and grow and many have in them mistakes you don't need to make.

For example, Coach John Wooden wrote a book called: Wooden: A Lifetime of Observations and Reflections On and Off the Court. Mr. Wooden lived to almost 100 years and the success he had as a leader/teacher/coach is something that is still talked about today.

The things he taught in this book are from someone who lived a life impacting so many others and he had his lessons placed in this one book. Imagine all the lessons he learned and taught. And this available to you.

So I ask you. Are you a reader? If not, I encourage you to become one. 15 minutes a day will get you through a book a month. That's it. It's an investment in you.
