You've heard this before. I'm sure of it. But instead of working in your business, you must take a step back and work on your business. It's easy to get caught up with the day-to-day. I get it. But you can only operate like that for so long until something gives, right?

You know it deep down inside. You've been overlooking things for a while. But now the time has come. It's time to dig deep and begin to automate processes and implement marketing strategies that can take things to the next level. What Are The Best Marketing Strategies?

If you want your business to thrive, you can't just gamble your time and expect a good outcome. Instead, you must implement the right marketing strategies for true growth. That doesn't come easy. And you're constantly getting bombarded by agencies who claim they can help you but they never come through.

That's why you must take the bull by its horns. You must lead your team in the right direction and invest time and capital in the right marketing strategies that will lead to long-term and sustainable growth. That's not always the easiest decision to make. Especially when you have so much going on.

So which one do you choose? What direction do you go in? And how do you know if it's working or not? First, you must understand that you have to go all in. Don't just dabble and try something. Put all your energy into it and invest the time and energy today to produce the results you want tomorrow.

1—Lead magnets

It's surprising how many companies do not have lead magnets. You can't just go for the jugular and ask for the sale. Why? Because retargeting is extremely expensive today. That means it costs a lot to show your ad again and again. It's also harder to retarget people with all the new privacy rules implemented by Apple.

That's why you need to create lead magnets. Lead magnets are free pieces of content or information in various formats. Lead magnets help you make more money by generating relevant and qualified leads. They can be checklists, cheat sheets, videos, ebooks, free subscriptions, and so on. This builds reciprocity with your target audience by delivering value and helping them solve part of their problem.

This is by far one of the best marketing strategies you can implement. It delivers real value to your target audience. Most people think that giving away all of their best information is bad for business. It's not. Information is free. What people pay for is implementation. And when you help them by giving them valuable info, you build that reciprocity.

So what makes a good lead magnet? A good lead magnet:

  • Creates curiosity in the title — The title of your lead magnet should create curiosity. You want someone to click the title to download the lead magnet rather than swiping away. To do that you have to create curiosity. Don't come right out and tell them what's inside the lead magnet. Instead, create enough curiosity that it makes them want to find out.
  • Leads the prospect away from pain?—?Instead of leading your prospects toward pleasure, lead them away from pain. People are more likely to trust you when you lead them away from pain. Instead of saying "7 Steps To 7 Figures In Sales" say "7 Major Mistakes Crushing Your Chances For 7 Figures In Sales."
  • Addresses the core problem — Make sure that your lead magnet addresses the core problem your target audience struggles with. Make sure that you properly define the problem and address it within the landing page for the lead magnet and the lead magnet itself.
  • Agitates the problem — Agitate the problem. Enhance it. Paint a picture of how bad the problem is. Describe it in full detail and you'll connect with the prospect on a far deeper level. When you understand and describe the problem better than the prospect can, you create a powerful bond.
  • Delivers a detailed solution — Solve the problem in detail. Deliver so much value here that you can easily charge money for this lead magnet. Go in-depth and into detail. Give away the farm, so to speak. This creates massive reciprocity and turns you into an authority. If you can help solve the problem with your free content, prospects will gladly throw money at you when you make them the offer.
  • Presents a call to action — Every lead magnet should deliver a strong call to action. Give them the next step they can take to deepen their relationship with you. This should also happen at some point inside the email sequence that triggers once you send a prospect your lead magnet.

2—Email marketing

Pound for pound, email marketing is by far the best marketing strategy you can invest your time and money into. It also has the highest return on investment. Email marketing returns roughly $44 for every dollar spent. That's a 44:1 ROI. That's higher than any other marketing strategy behind search engine optimization.

To succeed at email marketing you need to use the power of stories to sell. You should use the strategies for email marketing discussed in a book called, Dot Com Secrets by Russell Brunson. It lays out the entire framework for exactly how to communicate, how often to do it, and when to send your offers and sales pitches.

3—Affiliate marketing

If you're not engaged in affiliate marketing, you should be. You can reach affiliates through Rakuten, Shareasale, Impact and many other networks. Just set up your company profile and commission payout to start soliciting affiliates. Finding good affiliates is difficult, so be sure to know that going into it.

However, one single affiliate can transform your business. An affiliate with a substantial audience or email list can make a major impact on your bottom line. There's also a strategy called the Dream 100 where you identify the top 100 people you would love to work with, then go after those individuals. You can read more about it here.

4—Sales funnels

Websites are dead. They offer too many options and lead to overwhelm. Today, companies need sales funnels to grow their businesses fast. This is the single most important tool you can have in your marketing arsenal for exponential growth.

Sales funnels have a predefined customer journey. They're predictable and offer just one route forward. This leads to better conversions and higher average order values through upsells, down-sells and order bumps. Sales funnels are sometimes called marketing funnels.

5—Memberships

One reason most companies can't grow is because they're so busy struggling to acquire new customers every single day. That's why memberships (continuity) are so important. You need some form of subscription to keep your business going. That means you don't have to hunt for new sales every moment of every day.

What kinds of memberships work best? You can implement many. There are subscriptions of all kinds. These can be a subscription box that ships out monthly, it can be a newsletter, it can be a software subscription, coaching, and many others.

6—Blogging

Blogging is a great marketing strategy for organic growth. High-quality content that addresses core customer problems and delivers real value can transform a business. The best part? You don't have to spend a dime on paid ads to make this work. You just need to invest in great content.

This is not about plagiarizing or using AI to create the content. The voice should be human. And it should interweave stories that relate to your customer's journey. Nothing can replace well-written content through blogging. You get what you pay for here so make sure you only hire top-tier writers to do this.

7—Social media

The one thing that connects us all is social media. This is the fastest way to reach a global audience. If you don't have a social media marketing strategy in place it's important to implement one. Your social media content should be designed around the problems your customer is facing and the solutions you provide.

Content should be primarily value-added content. Meaning, nine out of ten posts should deliver real value and actually help people with the problem without soliciting for sales. Then, every one out of ten posts should revolve around your offer or sales.

8—Paid ads

Paid ads are the fastest way to grow your business. However, it is also very easy to make mistakes and waste thousands of dollars on paid ads. It must be done right by someone with a proven track record. Be careful of hiring random agencies who claim to offer help but have very few results.

A good paid-ad strategy that targets the different sections of the sales funnel. This means promoting to a broader audience but then using ads to continue marketing to people at the middle of the funnel and the bottom of the funnel. You can learn more about how to do this here.

9—YouTube

YouTube is the most widespread video platform in the world. Posting high-quality content to YouTube is a great way to gain visibility and market your business. If you don't have a YouTube strategy, put one together. Create content around the problem and offer solutions.

Succeeding on YouTube requires consistency. If you commit to YouTube, you should post regularly. It should be at least once per week. You will need a long string of consistent postings before your YouTube channel gains traction. It takes time and dedication but this is a marketing strategy that's worth its weight in gold.

10—Copywriting

Most entrepreneurs and business owners understand the importance of copywriting. Copy is the key ingredient in exponential growth. Because, how you communicate with prospects and customers is a cornerstone in sales and marketing.

Hire a good copywriting service to help scale your business, or hire a great copywriter to join your team. The copy you put out matters. Every touchpoint is critical to moving the customer along the journey through your sales funnels and ascending them to more valuable products and services.

11—Podcasts

Podcasting can be a great way to reach your target audience. Your podcast should be designed around addressing the core problems that your customers struggle with. A good podcast works in conjunction with other marketing strategies to move a prospect through the customer journey.

Podcasts should always link to a lead magnet or another lead generation funnel to bring the listener into your world. Once they're in your world, you can communicate with them and move them through your funnels. Making that bridge from podcast to funnel is important and requires some thought and implementation.

12—Search engine optimization

I am a firm believer in the power of search engine optimization (SEO). However, many people approach SEO the wrong way. They try to game the system rather than build out quality content with quality backlinks. That's probably because it's hard and Google keeps tightening its rules.

Today, many are using AI to build content and automated software to create links. This is the wrong approach. It always has been, but it's getting riskier and riskier to take this approach. Do things the right way if you want any chance of ranking your content organically.

13—Influencer marketing

Influencers have large followings. And they can help catapult your brand into the mainstream fast. Some of the biggest companies have used the influencer marketing approach to grow and scale their businesses. For example, Gym Shark is one of those companies. Gym Shark's approach was simply to make a great product then send it to influencers. This catapulted the brand forward.

Sometimes, you'll need to make a deal with influencers. Other times, you can simply send your products out to them and hope that they talk about it on their social media channels. You can even target micro-influencers who have smaller, but still engaged, audiences.

14—Tripwire offers

Tripwires are low-ticket offers that are designed to help acquire customers and ascend them into higher-price offers. Tripwires are very effective because they offer a great price-to-value ratio. Tripwires are usually presented as free-plus-shipping offers. Meaning that you get the "thing" for free as long as you cover a small shipping cost.

This allows you to do two things. The first is that it uses the power of "free" in the marketing materials. People simply love free offers and the word free is a big driver of consumer behavior. The second is that it's low risk for customers to only spend $7 to $10 on something with a much higher perceived value.

15—Urgency and scarcity

There are two very powerful motivators of human behavior. Those are urgency and scarcity. If you're not using this as part of your marketing strategy, it's something you should strongly consider. Why? Because humans need a reason to act and to act now. They need some impending deadline or the risk that something will no longer be available to them, which generates FOMO (the fear of missing out).

Amazon does this every day with countdown timers (urgency) and claims that only a certain amount of products are left in stock (scarcity). This compels you to hurry up and order now instead of waiting to order later. However, you must use this in an authentic way rather than trying to trick people into believing it's real.
